Requesting Announcements

You can request custom announcements for the announcer to read over the PA and send as a push notification to meet attendees. The announcer reviews all requests before sending and can edit the message if needed.

Scope Options​

Tap the megaphone icon in the top header to open the announcement panel. Two tabs are available:

Global sends to everyone subscribed to the meet. Use this for facility-wide messages: weather holds, lost items, coaches needed somewhere, and similar.

By Event Type lets you select a specific event type from a dropdown and scope the announcement to attendees subscribed to events in that category.

You can also request an announcement tied to a specific event combination. Tap the megaphone icon on any individual event row to open an announcement scoped to that combination. The message will be prefixed with the event name when it goes out, and it will only reach attendees subscribed to that specific combination.

Composing Your Message​

Type your message in the text field. The limit is 100 characters.

Or tap any item in the Quick Picks list to pre-fill the message with a ready-made template:

  • Athletes please report to awards.
  • Check-in is now closed. No additional check-ins accepted.
  • Event is temporarily delayed. All athletes please remain in the staging area.
  • Please pick up athletes from the safety area.
  • Coach from [Team Name] please report to [Location].
  • [Athlete Name] please report to [Location] immediately.
  • Found: [Item]. Please claim at [Location].
  • Lost: [Item]. If found, please return to [Location].

Templates with bracketed placeholders are editable after you select them. Tap Send Request to submit.
