Getting Started
Before the Meet
When your meet director publishes the meet, SecondCall sends them a preparation email with a forwardable block for officials. If your director sends that along, it will include a direct link with your access code already embedded and a quick overview of what to expect.
If you receive a link from your director by text or share, keep it somewhere accessible. It will open directly to your dashboard without needing to type anything, and you can reopen it any time during the meet if you close the tab.
Important: Your link includes your access code and provides direct access to meet operations. Keep it to yourself and do not forward it to anyone else. If it gets into the wrong hands, your meet director can revoke the code immediately. If that happens, your session will be invalidated and you will need to get a fresh link from your director or operations staff before you can continue. If anything seems off mid-meet, let your director know right away.
Note: Your access code is specific to this meet. It stops working when the meet director closes the meet. If you work multiple meets, you will receive a different code for each one.
Preview mode: If your director shares your link before the meet goes live, you may land on a dashboard in Preview mode. You can log in, set your station name, and select your events to get familiar with the interface. Request buttons will be disabled until the meet is active. No action is needed on your part. The dashboard switches automatically when the meet goes live.
Getting Started on Meet Day
Signing In
Tap your link. You will land on a sign-in page with your access code already filled in. Tap Access Dashboard to proceed.
You do not need to download any app. Everything runs in your phone's browser.
Setting Your Station Name
The first thing you will be asked is where you are working. Type in whatever makes sense for your station: "Long Jump," "Track Staging," "Shot Put," "Discus Circle," or anything else.
You can update your station name at any time during the meet by tapping the pencil icon next to your name in the header. Your station name appears on the meet director's operations screen so they can see which officials are online and where, and it is included with every request you send so the announcer knows where it is coming from.
Selecting Your Events
Next, you will be asked which events you are working. All events at the meet are shown as a grid of toggle chips. Tap each event type you are responsible for and tap Apply Filter to confirm. Selected events highlight in amber.
If you are not sure yet, just pick one or two to start. You can change your event list at any time during the meet by tapping Change Events in the top right of your dashboard.
