Events Tab
The Events tab gives you a full view of every event at the meet and lets you initiate calls yourself without waiting for a request from an official. For meets where officials are not using SecondCall, or for cross country meets where all events run sequentially, this is your primary working surface for the day. When officials are submitting requests through the system, the Events tab serves as a backup and a way to get ahead of the queue.
Events are grouped by type and displayed as collapsible amber rows. Each group header shows how many combinations it contains and how many have received a final call. Use the search bar to find a specific event quickly, or tap Collapse All to reset the view.
Within each group, every age and gender combination is listed with the same call buttons available to officials: First Call, Second Call, and Final Call, plus First & Second Call, First & Final Call, and Second & Final Call under the Advanced dropdown.
Tapping a call button opens a confirmation modal. Review the call type and event, then confirm to send the notification directly to subscribed app users. No incoming request is needed.
Merging Events
If more than one age group, division, or gender is being run together as a single race, you can merge them so the call goes out as a combined event.
Tap Merge on any event row to open the Merge Event dialog. Check all the combinations that will share the race. A combined event name generates automatically from your selections. Review it and tap Confirm Merge.
After merging, the combined event appears as a single row. A call for the merged event will reach app users subscribed to any of the individual combinations included in the merge.
Note: A merge can be undone as long as no notifications have been sent to that combined grouping yet. If notifications have already been sent, reset those calls first, then undo the merge.
Event-Specific Announcements
Tap the announcement icon on any individual event row to send an announcement scoped to that specific combination. The message will be prefixed with the event name when it goes out and will only reach app users subscribed to that combination or the event as a whole. The compose experience is the same as the Announcements tab, including access to quick pick templates.
