Getting Started

Before the Meet

Your meet director will have the ops access code and link ready as soon as they publish the meet. SecondCall sends them a preparation email at that point with your forwardable setup block included. The link can be shared directly, sent as a text, or accessed by scanning a QR code. Keep it somewhere accessible so you can reopen it if you close the tab.

Important: The ops code provides full access to meet operations, including the ability to assume the announcer and official roles and to revoke access codes. Share it only with people who need it. If it gets into the wrong hands, it can be revoked instantly from the ops dashboard or the meet detail page. Anyone using the old code will lose access immediately and a new code will be generated.

Note: Your access code is specific to this meet. It stops working when the meet director closes the meet.

Preview mode: If you receive your link before the meet goes live, you can log in and get familiar with the dashboard in Preview mode. The interface is fully accessible, but no race calls or official requests will be active until the meet director goes live. No action is needed on your part.


Signing In

Tap your link. You will land on a sign-in page with your access code already filled in. Tap Access Dashboard to proceed.


Connecting to the App for Escalation Alerts

The Connect to App button in the top right of your dashboard is optional but recommended. Connecting links your ops code to the SecondCall app on your phone so you receive push notifications when an event request reaches the urgent escalation threshold set by the meet director.

To connect:

  1. Tap Connect to App in the dashboard header.
  2. If you do not have the SecondCall app installed, follow the prompt to download it. It is free and requires no account setup.
  3. Once the app is open, your ops code will be pre-filled. Tap to sign in.
  4. You will be taken to the alerts setup screen. Select the operations alert category and confirm.

Escalation alerts mean something has been sitting in the announcer's queue too long. When you receive one, check in with the announcer directly or use Quick Access to step in and process the request yourself.
