One missed call becomes a schedule that never catches up.

An official needs a call made. The announcer is busy. The radio gets no response. By the time someone tracks down a runner, the event is late. The next event waits. Then the next.

SecondCall closes the loop between your staging officials and your announcer instantly, with no radios, no runners, and no dropped messages.

How it works

So many track meets have the same breakdown. An official needs a final call made. The announcer is mid-announcement. The radio crackles. The runner is nowhere. The call either gets made late, or it doesn't get made at all. Athletes are not reporting and the schedule slips.

SecondCall replaces that entire chain.

From staging to the PA
in one tap

1
Official taps Request

The official opens SecondCall on their phone. No app download required, just a URL and an access code. They select only their assigned events. When they need a call, they tap the call type. That request appears in the announcer's queue in under a second.

2
Announcer sees it immediately

The request lands at the top of the announcer's incoming queue on their phone, laptop or tablet. The exact announcement text is pre-written and ready to read. The announcer reads it on the mic and taps one button: Approve & Send. Done.

3
Official sees confirmation. Everyone gets notified.

The moment the announcer taps Approve & Send, two things happen simultaneously: every athlete, family member, and coach subscribed to that event receives a push notification, and the official's screen updates with the exact time the announcement was sent. The loop is closed.

Nothing falls through the cracks

If a call gets stuck,
you'll know.

Automatic escalation, built in. If a request sits unacknowledged past a configurable threshold, the request pulses yellow on the announcer's screen. Let it go longer, and escalation push notifications go out simultaneously to the announcer, your operations staff, and the meet director. Anyone signed in with their access code gets the alert. No guessing why the schedule is slipping. If something is stuck, the right people know immediately.

Two queues. One screen.
Every call covered.

The announcer's dashboard runs in any browser: laptop, tablet, or phone. No install required. Their screen shows two areas side by side: the event list with call type, announcement and merge buttons, and the live incoming request queue for event calls from officials around the venue.

But the dashboard isn't just for race calls. The Announcements tab gives the announcer a direct line to every phone at the meet. Type a custom message and send it to everyone at the meet, or get specific: all 200m subscribers or a combination like Girls Varsity 800m. Pre-built templates cover the situations that come up at every meet: lightning delay, heat advisory, coaches meeting, schedule running behind, lost and found. One tap sends it as a push notification to every relevant subscriber.

The meet director creates a persistent account. That's the only login in the system. Everyone else gets a disposable access code that expires when the meet ends.

Director One persistent login. Full meet management.
Staff Disposable code. No account or install required.
Athletes, Familes & Coaches Download the app. No code or login needed.

The guided setup wizard walks you through events, age groups/divisions, meet info, and access code generation. Most directors finish in under 15 minutes. Your announcer opens a URL and enters their code. Your field officials do the same. No app downloads required. The web dashboard works on any device at the venue.

Optional: push notifications for staff

Announcers can install the app and enter their code to get a push notification whenever a new field request arrives, useful if they step away from the PA table. Directors and operations staff receive escalation alerts if a call goes unacknowledged. It's purely optional on top of a web-only workflow.

No Personally Identifiable Info (Zero PII)

No names. No emails. No athlete data. Subscribers are anonymous device tokens. Everything is deleted when the meet ends.
* Except meet directors/hosts.
